Alternative Meeting Locations & Directions
In some cases, you will notice the schedule indicates an alternative site (as opposed to the HS) where we will be practicing (usually highlighted in yellow). The motivation behind these changes is two-fold: 1) To add some variety to the daily training. It can get quite boring doing the same runs all the time and the locations we visit will certainly add some variety and beauty to the routine. 2) Alternative terrain. While it's true that most injuries can be avoided with a well-thought-out training plan and quality shoes, it never hurts to visit some places with access to trails and softer footing. Trails also serve as a good preparation for cross-country, a sport that by definition relies upon running through alternative terrain, trails, hills and paths. The specific locations and directions to these locations is listed below - please don't hesitate to contact me if these are not clear or you suddenly get lost.
